Wooden furniture can be inspected to ensure an accurate fit when assembled, antique items can be reverse engineered in order to preserve their form and to create accurate replicas, the fabrication of kitchen equipment can be greatly improved using 2-D templating technology. The template can simply be exported and sent to a CNC machine tool making accurate cuts in expensive materials used in the countertop industry, such as granite.
